The 11+ English tests cover the entire English syllabus from the National Curriculum up to and including Key Stage 2. All pupils should therefore have covered the topics by the end of Year 6, which is where the discrepancy falls with the timing of the 11+ which will vary quite considerably from school to school. BOFA 11+ is designed to highlight topics requiring attention and work with the pupil towards success.

Skills in comprehension, grammar, punctuation and spelling will be assessed whatever the format of the actual exam, and as such BOFA 11+ English is designed to prepare the pupil for these exams.
