Finding a good 11 plus tutor

A good tutor is like gold dust but more expensive. 

A good tutor for 11 plus, needs to be familiar with the current format of the local entrance exams in the county (if your county has state selection) and the local private schools.

The 11 plus tutor will have a portfolio with at least a dozen testimonials from satisfied parents following the success they achieved getting the children through the exam.  Personal recommendations are probably your best approach.  Be aware that many of the best tutors do not need to advertise.  This of course makes it even more difficult for you !
